Java moss

I attached some java moss to wood with some elastic bands, and it was all green to begin. however more and more its turning a brown colour. Does anone have any experiance with this?

As a rule, "brown" is not a good sign on mosses. Yellow or pale, often grow back in right conditions - but brown is really not god !!

hmm... I'll leave it another couple of weeks. there's still some green there, but it is mostly brown. shame. thanks anyway.

I've had mine in for two weeks. Kept trimming the brown bits back and now all new growth is green and lush. My tank is only running 2x20w T8's. And diy co2 at 1bps. Hope this helps
