For now everything is going just fine, the new substrate is a little bit stubborn and it is still keeping the GH a little high, witch I understand is normal for Manado when first introduced. I will keep doing weekly bigger water changes then normal until the GH drops, it has been only 2 weeks since the restart so I guess it will give in soon.

Yes I kept rainbowfish for quite some time, until I got frustrated with the fact that you just couldn't get quality rainbows in my area so if you loose a few like I did in stupid acidents (one jumped into the skimmer, two got stuck behind the driftwood, one jumped out behind the stand when I was doing a water change with the lid flaps opened and I was out of the room) one died because it got sick they were close to imposible to replace so I moved on. Things have changed since then and now I could get rainbows easier so in the future I may return to keeping them as I find them awesome.

Here are a few pictures of my driftwood from different angles, not the best pictures in the world because they are done with a cell phone
