I started off with four killifish in my new tank a couple of months ago and was pleased to see that I now have eight with no effort on my part. In fact I was really surprised as I had no idea they bred so readily. The tank is quite heavily planted now and I wonder having looked it up 20220225_170555.jpgif this is what saved the eggs and then the fry from being eaten. If the fry look half as good as the parents when they grow a bit more I will be pleased. You can see two of them middle right and one in the middle.

Aphyosemion Australe are fairly easy to breed, and some fry will survive by hiding in the roots of the ferns. A clump of java moss and some floaters would give them a better chance.
Microworm and bbs will give them a good start.
Cheers
John
