LED Lighting Heat Output

Do aluminum LED aquarium light units (e.g. Zetlight Lancia ZP4000 1200mm) typically generate much heat? I'm wondering how close to the top of the hood I can safely mount them.

Hello, mine is directly on top of the plastic mount of my tank since this summer, there is no issue.

I can grip the ramp with my hand when lit, i feel the heat but it is quite bearable.
