light for 50L tank

I bought a tank which is and Aqua One 50L cube tank. The LED light that clips onto the back of the tank is blahblahblahblah and berly illuminates the tank. Which is a better light for the tank, Clip on, or hanging from the ceiling are fine. I would like it for growing easy plants, this tank is low tech, no ferts or CO2.
