Other small types of Nymphoides found in the aquarium trade such as the Taiwan or Indica have a different flower with a serrated leaf edge. Hence the common name water snowflake. And they do not have such a heavy vained floating leaf underside..
If you can't see the rhizome banana, than a flower will be to most definitive ID.
