Like the placement of hardscape the way the rocks are and the different size and amount on each side of the tank do make it seem like a larger tank.Nice pearling on the macrandra Sp. Nice plant grows fast.Cheers mark

Nice tank mate. Very natural and wild look. Love the cubotai colours:)

:woot: looks much larger than 3 foot.
Nice set-up:thumbup: Lloyd.
hoggie

Thanks Hoggie. i was aiming for the tank to look bigger than it is. this tank is only H32cm and D30cm :)

Looks like a great start!
Can't wait to see how the carpet looks grown in!
ME TOO! i just love a nice HC carpet..

Thanks Mark.
my reason for using the Rotala Macrandra sp.green was i can change its colour without much hassle to give a sunset “feel” with shades of yellow and red. After a few trims this will be more evident

WOW, completely forgot i haven’t updated this thread.. whoops:oops:

Sorry for the crappy pics. these pic are 1.5months old. Made some slight changes, will update later in the week
1. Removed all the stems and replaced with Hydrocotyle tripartite Japan
2. Added some Tenellus to the left of the Staurogyne.
3. Removed the Blyxa on the left and replaced with more Staurogyne
4. added 10 more GMO's and 2x more otto's

This is the only pic i could find. Unfortunately it was passed its prime at this stage and i was too busy to spend time taking pics of this scape.
meh, life happens. this tank has been taken down and destroyed.
i now have a new 900x450x450 starefire that is being setup. i will keep you posted on this hopefully on a more regular basis.
