Just setting up a 250 l tank. It will have john innis no.3 as substrate with cat litter . Crypts grow well in my 65 l . Any suggestions of plants that would work. Think with the hight of the tank could do with something tall at back.

Hi Karen, I don't know if you use the Tropica website but I find it a great resource. Here are the 'easy' plants, there are plenty to choose from! http://www.tropica.com/en/plants/difficulty/easy.aspx

Any from BigTom's list <help me choose the right plants | UK Aquatic Plant Society>. My water is fairly soft, and Vallis doesn't do well for me. From personal experience Bolbitis heudelotii is a really good grower low tech., low nutrient, once it gets going.
