Just wondering if anyone can tell me how to get great macro shots through aquarium glass, i am really struggling.

I am guessing i need LOADS of light, is that right?
 
I think it's probably the hardest thing to do, light is either your best friend or your worst enemy, a polarising filter and take at a slight angle to cut out reflections on the glass, some of my best shots have been taken with a 300mm lens :) well the fish just go about their normal behaviour and don't take much notice of you if your 6ft away lol
