Hello, I have a chalky soil in my garden, it contains chalk, a year ago, I placed autumn leaves on it, the insects decomposed them, which I imagine fed the soil.

I have a list of ingredients but I don't know if it is possible to make a nutrient rich soil capable of growing red plants in a low tech aquarium?

Here is the list:

Green clay, blonde peat moss, chalk, qwartz gravel (1-3mm), osmocote, I also have nutrient powders like: potassium sulfate, magnesium sulfate, potassium nitrate, calcium chloride

any idea ? thx
