I've seen some twisted wood marked "Mopani Wurzel" in a local pet shop in the reptile section, is it any good for Aquariums as well? :?

Mopani is really nice in planted aquariums, especially on some contrasting bright sand. It's fine for aquariums, just make sure to boil it, scrub with toothbrush and weigh down well if its floaty.

Nothing better than looking for hardscape bits n bobs. :D
Once, I made the mistake of bringing home cork bark for my tank that I bought in my LFS's reptile section.. You could nearly sit on it, it was so buoyant

yes as long as you take the steps u normally would before adding it to your tank its the root from the mopani tree that grows in South Africa
