need a new filter

ill keep this breif, im currently running 2 2000lph aps external filters and one of them is starting to play up. i was wondering if anyone could reccomend 1 or two reasonable filters to replace them. the tank is 300l and i ideally want a turnover of x10

Hi mate,
A single FX5 would do the trick, but it uses non-standard 25mm hosing. If you are handy and like to use spraybars, you can fashion your own using PVC or whatever material you want. It's not quite 10X but it's close enough, especially if you remove a lot of media and replace with simple foam.

If you didn't fancy making your own spray bar you can just buy the tetre tec ex2400 outlet kit which fits it perfectly

Think the hosing I have at the moment is 25mm. Cheers for that! Now...... does anyone have 200 quid I can borrow?

Just read, apparently they have discontinued the fx5, it would have to be the fx6 by the look of it.

There should still be plenty of the 5's around. The 6 supposedly has a higher flow rating so that's all goodness...
Apparently has more microprocessor control though, and that's all badness....

Well I have a good lead on a bargain fx5 so I shall see how that works out, but im also toying around with the idea of a sump
