We have patented a new technology that allows us to fit up to 100 grams of Co2 into a 600ml aerosol tin. We are thinking to launch a new product to revil the Tropical Plant 60 Co2 system. We are also going to do the refills.

We already manufacture gas horns using this technology but have no experience in the aquirium sector please could you tell me if you think this would any use and any comments would be appreciated.

Sounds interesting. The link to the 'new technology' doesn't work though!

Is this similar to the way deodorant manufacturers now have those cans with the same amount of product in a smaller tin scenario?

Sent from somewhere using some electronic device.

They used to sell co2 in aerosol cans. You attached a tube and filled a little bell type dispenser with gas once a day or so by pressing the top. It was expensive and didn't work all that well. I suppose the real changeling for you is to figure out how to automate the process. It needs to be cheaper and easier than mixing sugar and yeast once a week.

They still do , yes its expensive , but some CO2 is better than no CO2

To be really viable it has to compete with the ease, practicality, and price of a CO2 extinguisher...the price for a 2Kg can be anywhere between £5 and £25, new or refill. And it has to marry up with existing standard fittings.

Hi All,

Thanks for your feedback. Our first aim is to bring to the market a much improved version of the Tropica plant growth 60 system and Tetra systems and refills that are already on the market, this is due to the fact we can under cut them in price, we are able to fit more Co2 in the product but the main fact is that we are actually manufacturing these so we are able to bring them to the market at a more competitive prices.

We have already had success in putting a regulator onto the product for ease to users and to automate the experience but as you will know this is more expensive but would still miles cheaper than current products on the market. (Can anyone recommend a regulator manufacturer)?

All your comments are most welcome and apprictaed.
