Very nice and professionally executed. But I had strong deja-vu feeling. Similar layouts have already been implemented in ADA Gallery, so I think it's mostly Amano's legacy worked there. I don't say it's bad per se, those classics works are good for such public place where many people will watch them everyday. I'd probably be regular customer of them ))
I've noticed all tanks have black (painted?) background, although walls in that cafe is light grey. Interesting, why did they use black background? Is it new ADA style or there were other reasons?
I guess having a black back makes it easier to maintain because you're not able to get behind those tanks as in the ADA showroom. A open back needs to be spotless at all times, a black one not so much.
Black looked to be intrinsic to the tank glass/acrylic ... in a commercial venue especially, it's nice for fish to have a dark wall on at least one side of the tank.
The dark background also impacts perception, contrasts, colours etc
