Lovely rock work mate, I had ug in blue jelly island for a while it did ok for a month then just slowly dissolved due to lack of co2. Looking forward to seeing this in a few months all lush and green.

I does make life easier at start up, I wouldnt try UG any other way!

They are pretty cool and a nice change from cherries. Think i may struggle finding a happy place for co2 and shrimp breeding with the UG also... It can be done though, just need some patience.

I have the simoni and they're lovely shrimp. Not sure how theyll do with the amount of co2 you'll need for that ug though. They do like a low ph tank though

Hey al, I had the plan to see if you could still spare some
May take a while to find a co2 balance though, which is something I have always struggled with! It's one of the goals with this tank... I see others run high injection rates with happy livestock including inverts so just another puzzle to figure out!

I'm still trying to work out where you keep all these shrimp?! Think you have a few more tanks your not telling is about.

Like the look of this one. I was going to try UG in my new scape but now I'm not sure. Do you think once it is established you will be able to lower the bubble rate for livestock?

UG seems to be taking ok, starting to look like new growth.... love this piece of rock, lovely veining.

This died an ugly death... has been empty for few weeks but just filled it today with a half hour no effort, no plants and most importantly no maintenance Asian biotopey thing..? Will start a new thread when I have some images.
