Recommended Regulator and Diffuser?

I'm feeling my CO2Art regulator is a weak spot in my set up... Hard to set and, more recently, prone to unpredictable surges of CO2 after attempting to restore the bubble rate. I don't mind investing in good kit but when I look at what's readily available it's hard to discern a good regulator made of quality parts vs those built to a price margin. Is there a particularly good brand?
