Riccia fluitans

I have attached some Riccia fluitans to a rock in my new nano tank. It's been in there a week and seems to be doing fine, although no O2 bubbles yet. but the tips of each branch have turned a bright, almost emerald, green. Is this normal? It's the first time I have used it. The Christmas moss seems to be growing very well. :?
