Wow, must be nice having that watery slice of nature at the bottom of the garden :)
Nice photos too.
 
It is fantastic and I count myself very lucky to have it :)
The trouble is this time of the year when it's hot I get home from work and go and wade about in it....next thing I know Hubby's standing on the bank and I'm saying your supper might be a little while I forgot the time :D
 
Are you able to take anything from it like plants fish etc? That would make an awesome biotope!:)


The fish may be a bit large for a tank lol there are chub,roach,rudd,gudgeon and pike.
Things like the swan mussels are getting very rare these days and almost impossible to feed in an aquarium so best left where they are I feel.
I might for a bit of fun one day set up a biotope using the plants and some substrate from the river to see what appears...probably plenty of leeches and dragonfly nymphs :D
 
We have Kingfishers nesting somewhere but with my rubbish photography chances of getting a pic are less than nil :lol: I usually just see a flash of blue go past.
