Rocks from the coast of the Isle of Wight any good?

About to set sail to the Isle of Wight to visit family. However I do know that on the south side of the island has a lot of nice rock.

What should I be looking out for? Positive and negative.

Not even sure I am allowed to remove rock from the beach.

Pour vinegar on it if it fizzes it will leach into the water

Wow. Interesting. Thanks for the tip. Might nip to the supermarket to get some sarsons before hitting beach then. Going to look most odd.
