New set up is a 70l ecostyle with filter in hood. The l/h is 1100.
Substrate john Inness no3 topped with cat litter.
Planted with various crypts.
Frogbit
Moss balls
I have added the noodles out of a existing filter so how long should I wait before adding fish?
I set it up on Sunday and all levels 0 today.
The fish are female bettas.
Some people have told me everything from straight away to 6 months.

if u get 0 for 2 or 3 days i would start to added a few fish if your tank is well planted and you have used well seasoned filter material you should be ok

Hi Karen,

In a planted tank you might get away with adding fish early but patience is the key and IMO the best way.

Just leave everything, do daily water changes for a couple of weeks and then twice a week after that @ 30%-50%.

Feed the plants during this time and keep the lighting low. Start adding fish after 4 weeks.

You will reap the benefits in the following months.
