Silicone spray wd40

Last edited:
WD40 silicone spray contains a lot of other additives, to include the propellant. I would keep that far away from my aquarium.

Just get standard silicone grease. You'll find it in the plumbing section of most hardware stores. A tiny little tub will last you forever.

I have use it with out any issues.
Actually one, being fluid, will tend to be washed and get collected on the surface of the water. So I'm using it very thin in places where I can't spread silicone grease. (For example on the water stops, taps and other difficult to reach gaskets).

Might be irrelevant but I swear I have seen a tutorial on how to catch fish using WD40 as bait! I was very intrigued since if it is something that is getting consumed by sth you the fisherman is going to consume it has to be safe right?
