    Hello,

I've got loads of snails in my tank which up to now I haven't minded at all. I've just recently changed to lily pipes and am now having a huge problem with baby snails getting caught in the fine slits on the lily inlet pipe. Does anyone know of anyway round this...I was thinking of getting an assassin snail but the thought of so much death in my tank doesn't sit so well with me (maybe I should just get over it!). Has anyone else had such a problem?

    Many Thanks, Sam

Turn the filter on. Then gently 'tap' the outside section of the inlet. the snails will fall out of the slits. turn the filter back on

I have this problem. The only way around it other than cleaning the intakes every few days is to add a couple of Botia striata which soon make short work of them :)
