Spare tropica soil

I have a bag of tropica soil left over. Is it any use for growing edible plants in like basil, thyme and mint? I’m growing seedlings using my Chihiros light and empty tank (in pots)

Don’t see why not but you’d have to add a complete fertiliser because it’ll be nutrient poor compared to say a John Innes compost.

I’ll probably just sell it if I can. If there are no advantageous I’ll use regular compost. Thanks

Using it instead of garden compost would be a waste,and expensive, it's worth keeping it if you set something up in future perhaps

I’m out of the hobby. I just don’t have the time to give it everything it needs. Between fitness and fishing & family it’s unfair to myself to try and maintain a tank. I don’t get enjoyment and feel guilty. Best allow myself soon head space.
