Stainless steel mesh with shrimps?

I would like to make a moss carpet over the substrate of my aquarium I have crystal shrimp in there and wondering the long term effects (if there is any) of using stainless steel mesh for hold the moss

I have some stainless steel mesh I use in my FX6 inlets to prevent small shrimp/fish being sucked in. Been using them for over year and no problems. Plus you can get SS inlets and outlets if there was issues I think we would of heard about it
