Strange worm thing

Were firmly affixed in the corner of the glass, so a bit of a scrape whilst syphoning, and seem to be gone for now at least.
Any ideas?

I had a similar worm in my aquarium but it was free swimming around the tank. One of the dwarf gourami ate it 😂

Are you sure it was a worm? It sounds like it might be the <"Red Algae">, <"Thorea hispida" (syn. T. ramosissima)>.

First pic made me think horsehair worm but the second pic I agree with Darrel, it’s a rare freshwater Macroalgae.

Oh, well no o couldn't be certain at all, it was well attached but I quickly removed it and threw the water change water onto the outdoor plants!
Ok so not something to worry about then, thanks
