Is streaming indicative of rapid photosynthesis and thereby growth rate should be correlated with streaming? But I have not observed the correlation. In my high tech medium light tank, my stem plants rarely stream but grow at fast rate. In my zero tech planted bowls by the window, the same stem plants grow at snail pace even though they stream under direct sunlight every afternoon. The correlation of streaming to sunlight is so strong that I can observe slow down to stopping of streaming as soon as clouds passed by the sun as if the gas pedal was let off.

You should ask the question which factor is limiting? Liebig's law of minimum.
