Evening all,

A thread for me to document this tanks progression. Aquascaping took a back step for me in 2023 with the birth of our first child.. its taken me 18 months to find the mental energy to return to a hobby I loved so much in the past.

As soon as the Christmas tree was down I moved one of my empty tanks into the living room and started to formulate a plan... I didn't want anything big so I went with my smallest.. my ADA45H.
I'm aiming for a high tech tank using mainly epiphyte plants to produce an aquarium capable of turning heads without creating me too much work onto of our now hectic life!

Aquarium - ADA45h
Co2 injection
ADA aquasky 301 light
Oase biomaster thermo filter
Off the shelf "all in one" fertiliser

Plants were a mixture of new plants purchased from aquarium Gardens and some recycling I have from old tanks.

Planted, day 5 up and running...

Some images of general plant health at the moment, waiting for the floating plants to shield the light a little.

Anubias bonsai and nana are shaded by the hardscape with buce in the brighter areas.

Mini coin attached in the lower parts on the tank, really nice looking plant.. anyone know how big its leaves grow?

Many thanks

Chris

Small update...

Bright green hair algae has begun to show an appearance, I put this down to quite intense light and the floating plants not able to shade the tank fully at this point.

Also the first time using tropical aqua soil... does this leach ammonia like Amazonia? Advice welcome!

The appearance is mainly on plants I got from a holding tank, I do have some APT from 2hr aquarist worth a dose?

Thanks all

Chris
