Time for trimming plants?

Hi guys
I was just thinking, because my nano needs a bit of a trim, is there a certain time that it is best to do a bit of trimming? What time during the light period might plants find it easier to recover quicker or does it not matter? Just a thought!

Before lights on, when they're asleep. Catch them off guard! Then they can't escape

Haha, I've never had the problem of escapee plants before! When the scissors go in they know they've had it!
