Hello,

I just bought a Twinstar 45B and a controller to replace my floodlight I had, as I was getting a bit of algae and I’m hoping that being able dim the light will help!

Anyway i need some help, I have set up my controller and it should be off between the hours of 9pm and 1pm………however the last couple of nights a have noticed when getting a drink in the middle of the night that the light is on around 3%? And this morning at 6:50am it’s already 11%? Like it’s ramping up but both 9 and 1pm are set to 0%

Any suggestions?

That's exactly what is happening. Basically the timer will always ramp up or down between 2 time points. If you want light level to be constant you need to setup the same value at both time points.

It has been a while since I last programmed one but as I remember you need to program both
-the end of the light period 0% at 21:00 and
-the beginning of the light period 0% at 12:59.
In addition, another point needs to be set at 13:00 or whatever time you want the max % to be reached and one when max % should end and a rampdown starts.

Thanks, yes I have 21:00pm set to 0% and 12:30pm at 0% 12:45 is set to 25%, 13:00 set at 50%……etc.

I’m very confused, I’m going to have to sit down later and reset it all and star again I think.

You seem to be muxing military time ( no am pm) w/ regular time making it confusing .

You need off (0) at 21. Start 1 next day????
Or off from 21 to 13 next day.

Crossing at 0 can be problematic for some programs. No idea why. Not an issue here afaict, just an fyi

Not sure I' m helping here but I've had issues like this w my controllers and just muddled through so a step by step isn' t available.
Overlapping a 24hr set seems problematic and by starting at pm???

Out of curiosity set on time pre noon.
Like 11:55.

So these are the parameters now, had a mess with it when I got in from work,

Schedule 1 - 13:00 = 0%
Schedule 2 - 13:15 = 25%
Schedule 3 - 13:30 = 50%
Schedule 4 - 13:45 = 75%
Schedule 5 - 20:45 = 74%
Schedule 6 - 21:00 = 50%
Schedule 7 - 21:15 = 25%
Schedule 8 - 21:30 = 0%
