Water change preparation

Just tried out my semi-automatic water changer for first time and works a treat. Basically, water is fed from my shower upstairs, through a 3-pod HMA filter then straight into my tank.

Only issue is the water comes out at PH 7.8, KH 5, GH 9 with Nil nitrates. Ideally, whilst I'm totally happy with the KH & GH I'd like the PH nearer to 7.

Would I be better to feed the filtered shower water into a tub, add a little weak acid to lower the PH a bit & then syphon it into the tank ? Not totally happy with a PH around mid 7.5 even after adding pressurised CO2

Would were it me (and it ain't), not worry bout pH which will naturally lower over time.
My water comes out from the tap at ph of 7.6 and water in tank after a few month's test's at ph of 7.2.
