What are these pink things on my Myriophyllum mattogrossense?

Hi y'all, this is my first post on here, been reading a lot and really appreciate the forums

Today I found some tiny pink/purple stuff on my mattogrossense. I have no idea what this is. Initially I thought they looked like eggs but after googling pictures I'm not so sure about that. I have a quite heavily planted 60 l tank, been having some minor thread algae issues lately. It's stocked with a few ottocinclus, a school of ember tetras and a bunch of amano shrimps. Sorry for the bad photo quality below, the pink stuff are really small. Since I'm new to the hobby I thought this might be something common that one can recognize without a high res photo

So, what could it be my fellow UKAPS members? 🧐

I think they maybe flower buds. Some Myriophyllum spp. <"have little pink flowers in the leaf axils"> (just above the where the leaf petiole joins the stem).
