All is forgiven

It is difficult to work out exactly what you would need to do to be "unfit for office". Whatever you think about him personally apparently none of these are any impediment to high office,

• not being an elected MP,
• lobbying government ministers to provide financing for the (now-insolvent) financial services company Greensill Capital and
• gambling on <"winning the BREXIT referendum"> to defuse the threat from UKIP

I suppose you just have to say all in the past and forgotten.
