Hi,I have a columbo flora grow nano running in my tank at the mo, the problem with this system is you cannot use a solenoid to turn the system on and off,this is a problem for me so I have decided to buy a different system,I have been looking at the jbl 401 and the 601 can anyone give me any advice on the jbl systems, from what i can see the difference between the two is the 401uses disposable cylinders wheras the 601 can use either.

You can use a solenoid on that system.

I have been in touch with the manufacturer and I can assure you ,you CANNOT use a solenoid with this system as there is only one regulator on the gas bottle yhjis regulates the flow of gas from the bottle to the regullator but you have no way of regulating the flow of gas to the solenoid so the gas pressure blows the pipe. I am now awaiting delivery of a JBL 401 system.
