Disaster this morning! Received a phone call from the other half to say he knocked the light into the tank while reaching for the switch!
I haven't been home to assess the damage yet, but I think I know what I'll be asking for my Christmas this year...

Part of the problem is the steel bracket that came with the light is too long and we don't have the tools to cut it in our flat - does anyone have any idea of how to cut or safely mount the light? Annoying that they don't come in the standard tank sizes that TMC sell.

As to the lighting Could try a floating shelf and hang the lights on wires of of the shelf ??? Or longer brackets and hang the lights off them ?? You can buy hanging kits or make your own from fishing wire trace used for game fish ??
