So started last night and set up the led as well.
Added a pinch of jungermannia Moss to it as well. Not expecting a change tonight but hey, a man can hope
Ola all
So went to the local garden centre on the weekend and got a LARGE Stewarts Electric Propagator for £23 and two trays for £2 each so all and all a bargain I think.
Set it up last night with some Miracle Grow Fertiliser and let it soak whilst on overnight and added some more water this...
I remove everything from the tank and use a dragline effect with my large nets otherwise I manuall catch one by one...
Adding food to the tank 10 minutes prior will net you more shrimp initially.
The substrate will over some of the rock so hopefully there will be a lush green carpet over it all...
Might be changing my plant plans as I just saw a red dutch scape....
Oh forgot about that.
Ill be stocking it with loads of Sakura Red Shrimp, CRS and Snow Whites
Fish wise Ill be looking at Celestial Pearl Danios and/or Chilli Rasbora
So got a lovely Aquanano 40 from a fellow Forum member after first buying all his Seiyru stone (spelling) and using those on the 200.
So to the tech details:
Tank: Aquanano 40 (55liter)
Filter: JBL CrystalProfi E401 (ill be replacing this on the 90 liter with a APS 1000EF)
Pump: All Pond...
Ola everyone
Was wondering what the correct process would be to clean a bizooka diffuser? Im currently soaking it in vinegar, should I do the whole bleach thing?
Ola peeps, update, just installed a little powerhead below the main external output but close to the base of the tank working a charm and upped the bubbles so 1.5 per second. Lets see what happens
Thanks all. My CO2 is constant, I will add another pump to get some flow through the left hand side. I clean the tank 1-2 times a week. Should I up the CO2 a little? (i have lime green on the checker)
Hello All
Been running the high tech for 2-3 months now (i think) and been on the changes etc.
Bubble counter running at 1bps (90 liter+-) and lights on for 7 hours a day currently with the CO2 coming on 2 hours before and shutting down 2 hours before lights off.
Started dosing EI a few weeks...
Some updates on what she looks like now :)
Please excuse these were taken on my Nexus 5
Some moody shots when the skylight did something special...
Back to normal:
Little java fern got big!
Full (un colour balanced) shot:
Stunning mini pelia from Michal:
Monte Carlo has really taken...
Hydrocortle is going NUTS and the Monte Carlo is such a pretty little plant. Will be doing a trim this weekend and maybe planting more hairgrass, just looking for some Tropica 1,2, Grow. Will post pics soon as.
Thanks lexy. I added some mini pelia to the Redmoor on the left as well as some of my super rare Moss (will get name later)
This weekend I will be trimming the plants and adding a bit more micro sword to the back.

So quick question, the last week or so it seems as if my water is murky, or at least slightly white and the leaves on the Anubias Coffii is full of dirt, is this a form of algae?
Note: i have not touched the filter
Losing one sakura shrimp a day... Strange the stock from my which I moved from my other tanks are still doing fine (painted reds).
That'll teach me not to buy cheap

Hello All
Got a lot of hair algae in my Fantasy Blue Jelly tank (24x8x8 in) which has a Arcadia Series 5 LED fitted.
Has anyone got any experience with H2O2 and Fissidens?
Hey all, just a quick question, should my drop checker still be dark green first thing in the morning?
Also, I've seen people spray a very diluted mix of h2o2 on the surface to combat algae and surface film, is that a good idea?

I must say, I havnt really moved out of the fishroom today... Its just amazing seeing the plants pearl (slowly but surely) and the Otto's and Shrimp doing their thing. Along with that the Bazooka Diffuser is just amazing, almost no bubbles touch the top of the tank.
Shrimp are moulting...
Thanks Tim, its a 80-90 liters +-
Turning either knob changes the bar value though. Im currently on 3bar with just over 1 bps and my drop checker is a dark blueish green blue...
So I quickly turned it on, got the bar to read 3.5 to 4 and got the bubbles (according to an online metronome) to be 1bps. Then I turned the timer on again and this will now activate in about 50 minutes. Will it slowly start with the diffusion, or straight away?
Alastair, can you elaborate on that please? Should I turn the left small knob till I get 1 bps and then turn the big knob to still maintain 3 to 4 bar?

Well I think its coming along. A big water change helped today with the brown on the substrate as well for some reason, but I might cut down on lighting if it doesnt come right with the CO2 being installed tomorrow or Saturday
Hey everyone, getting a bit of brown algae on the substrate now and im planning on doing another 25-50% water change tomorrow. Would this be the best course of action?
Also connecting up a FE system this weekend for CO2 and will keep you up to date.
Pictures will be uploaded soon
Did a 50% change this week and added all the shrimp from my low tech into this. Not much but will have to do whilst I wait for my Sakura Army.
Video uploaded though:
So after a long battle with everything from camera and PC gear giving up on me and re-doing the shrimp rack I have finally made up my mind and decided to do the Juwel Rekord 96 as its my first tank and I dont wanna sell it... ever.
Sorry for pictures, Ill get better ones and the video will be...
Just spent what feels like eternity doing up my old Juwel Rekord. This is going to be the Fancy Shrimp demo tank and has now been used to house the JBL and APS gear I got to review.
After the workshop with George and the awesome members of UKAPS and Sharnbrook Shrimp I must say I was wayyyy...
Ola peeps
Anyone have any experience growing these emersed or as normal?

Hello Everyone, just set up a new twitter account, but I need people to follow who are NOT lady gaga etc etc. Whats your twitter handles?
Just in case, here is mine: FancyShrimp (Fancy Shrimp (FancyShrimp) on Twitter)
I will be updating the pics and stuff this weekend.
Wow, this is a weird problem to have. Crushed coral will up the PH... you could try a calcium only suppliment, like the new Fluval stuff
I stand corrected
Well Roly, Amano, Cherries etc etc will all get on fine in there. Shrimp fry will get into the filter itself so be aware of that.
Chuck the plastics though and put a nice piece of Redmoor around the tube and plant it. Just be aware of the maintenance process which might need to take place.
You...
Shrimp on the alfagrog aint fun. That tank is a bit small even for Micro Rasbora. The filter cartridge, no need to replace it, squeeze sponge and keep the zeolite and carbon pellets in there. You can run as said Java Fern and Anubias in there with a smile without a heater along with some...
I used to play drums, then learnt bass and a few years ago got into guitar, but in the last 3 years havnt touched it so keen to get back into it. Cant remember 3 chords though.
Going to be using the Justin Guitar method again.
Hello all
Well JBL just sent me a box full of stuff containing a external fitler and an undergravel heating wire set + more stuff. I have to review these, so Ill be converting one of my tanks as the testing tank.
I need your help in selecting what Im going to do and what I will guage as...
