Hi, Got a question about brown algae, lightly planted my tank about about 6 weeks ago and then added more plants about 3 weeks ago. The plants have shown a bit of growth but are covered in brown algae which looks terrible. I added a young bristlenose plec last week and he's done a great job...

Hi, Recently bought a second hand tank, had to remove the substrate as the tank was too heavy to lift, it was aquatic soil capped with gravel, this of course means the 2 are now mixed in several buckets. Could I use this in the tank as a substrate and then cap it with playsand?

Maybe if I put the bulbs end to end that would cover the 4ft length then Maybe I could change to another controller that's available which is 2 x 54w which maybe too much light, is it possible to use lower rated bulbs ie 2 x 39w in that unit? Sent from my HTC Desire using Tapatalk
