I have been thinking for a while now about whether it could be that Fe in the micronutrient is destroyed by hydrogen peroxide H2O2. I think the aquarium has poor growth shortly after a water change and nutrient addition. Is it known if the chelate in Fe (DTEA) is destroyed by H2O2 addition...

thanks dw1305. I will dose Fe in 0,1ppm. That will make it: 3,4 / 5 =0,68 gram per 100 liter. Now that is very small measurments. am i correct out here if I add 34 gram, to an 500ml bottle and from here add 10ml per 100liter. it should last to an 5000liter dosage and 0,1ppmFe. H

Thanks Darrel Yes my water is very soft. Rexolin is powder and DTPA. Micro plus is liquid but i cant find what chelator is used. And there seems to bee no Fe only nutrient at Horto to give additional Fe I cant really remember the differences in the different chelators

Just noticed that the formula say EDTA chelated Fe, and what i got is Fe 6,0% (DTPA) I really dont know what the difference is and what the letters stands for (thow I know what an chelator does) H.

wow fast reply, thanks OK, so it is a good chelator, but what if the water has an Ph of over 7,5? will it give me an cloudines or just dont work. why does it say it is stable up to 7,5 Ph H.

I have recived a package of micronutrients with chelates of EDTA and DTPA it says that it will be stable within Ph of 3,5-7,5 Not quite sure if it is safe to use in aquariums. Cu, Zn and Mn chelating agent are EDTA, and Fe is DTPA Is this a god Product and safe to use? H.
