I thought PH fluctuated within the aquarium from other issues rather just by co2?.... ie decor, dissolved acids, substrate, ferts etc... so wouldn't gauging the co2's ppm from PH alone be slightly inaccurate and susceptible to fluctuations?

Hi all, what would you say was the ideal time frame for dosing carbon before lights on.... 1hr, 2hrs? Ive always tried to dose ferts and carbon 1-2hrs before lights on but is there actually a rule for a better time? Thanks Jen

Yes mate or just cut the plug and attach a 3 pin UK one ;) like many of us do.

Hi all..... Just thought i would ask a general question on monitoring CO2 levels in your tanks?.... What would you say was the most reliable way.... drop checker, PH test kit, plant growth, fish behaviour.. etc etc. Just curious really, i would imagine a drop checker with 4dkh solution been...

Thanks guys for all the suggestions :), the aquatic magic one to me seems a little steep in price for somethink that doesnt look the best quality, price isnt really an issue but i would like to get the best for what im going to pay, i want just a basic reg with sol or even just a reg on its own...
