Hi everyone, I’ve made quite a few changes hardscape and plant wise since George did the initial setup . This is how it looks now at three months old . All the algae issues I had have gone mainly achieved by extra water changes and spot dosing Excel .

Things are going quite well , i do have a small issue with Staghorn algae on the slower growing plants but not a massive issue. I’m spot dosing with Excel and 60% water changes to try and get on top of it. Overall considering it’s been around 15 years since my last scape I’m very happy with the...

Wow just read through all this thread,now these setups have got me thinking this is what I could do with my big setup,less maintainance,no co2,less water changes,next year will be when I am going to strip my big tank down so that gives me plenty of time to learn all I can about these ripariums...

Hi George, i think this is the best clean cut algae free set up ive seen in ages,everything looks so lush and healthy, personally i dont think the oyaishi (main stone)looks that out of place,by the same token we all see things in a different way and to me i think it all ties in nicely, regards...

Hi Mike,jungle is good,i use my 5x2x2 setup just to learn how to grow algae free plants and i can tell you it looks really good (very overgrown)and algae free ask Dan crawford,my first attempt at a proper scape will be in my 60cm optie-white, regards john.

Hi Tom,i really like the scape simple but effective,me personally i find it hard to create a aquascape grow it in then take it down to redo something else,i realise that without this rescaping i wont become as good as some of the guys on here but i like to see mine develop over a long period...
