Nice pics, just got a shoal for my new scape. I had a couple of mature ones in my holding tank too. Once they colour up they look stunning. I know what you mean about getting photos! Fast little buggers!

    Apistogramma

I have kept a pair successfully in my planted tank, as its already been stressed having lots of hiding places really helps, once a planted tank is well grown these tend to provide an ideal environment. Here are a couple of pics of my Apistogramma Agassizii 'fire red', which have become one of my...

No way! Thats rubbish! Have you ever tried aquarists classified website, quite regularly people sell fish on there, saw 50 Cardinals go on last weekend at a pound a fish which is a bargain.

    Fish online??

If your looking for a decent shoal, its worth talking to your LFS as they generally give you a better price the more you buy. The savings buying fish mail order are often counter acted by the postage costs. Plus you get to see how healthy they are. I recently bought a large shoal of fish...

    Add them at once

I agree with Sanj you need to be on the ball. I think if you combined it with some regular water changes you should be good. Say two 50% wc in the 7 days, they are only small fish so the relative waste production shouldn't be too much. Just dont over feed!

Mini fish Dario dario / badis

if your from Stoke on trent, it would be worth asking the guys at A-Z Aquatics or even Ripples at Bridgemere if they can get them. I am sure A-Z would be able to and they are not far. I know maidenhead aquatics can get them so if you have one local pop in and have a chat with them

Funny you should say that, i popped in a Maidenhead Aquatics (not my local) last week and spied Otto's at a fiver each!! Not ten pounds, but a fiver made me have double look to check they weren't gold plated! Normally pay £2.00 a fish! Lets hope its not the start of something!
