first of guys sorry no picture the little b*%£^*d lost his tail when I tried to grab him, next time I'm going for the head. Best I can describe it was part shrimp part praying mantis, green like a common mantis to. Any ideas as to what it might be. I've done a quick search and only marine stuff...

3mm is a good start. i think i remember Clive saying you need work out the area of your filter hose, then divided that by the amount of area in your chosen spray bar holes, that will give you how many holes to cut.

thanks Clive that's my terrible uses of the English language again. probably should have read. "ferts are EI levels with easy carbo after the water changes, done when i get home. co2 is silly high 2 hours before lights on and throughout photo period". sorry if it wasn't for spell check i might...

just wondering when i feed my fish in my 750l the water goes cloudy after is it just the food im using, Or does something else cause it. to be honest it can only be noticed lengthways down the tank (7') so its not really a big deal. it just bugs me a bit. the filter is pulling about X5 the tank...
we are talking about structural bits of timber here at least 8'' x2'' working on site ive seen fork lifts try to snap theses pieces of wood packs of concrete blocks loaded on to them (500kg at least) if you spread the load over 2 joists using a full foot print stand 300l is more than...
you need to inject gas plants only pearl when the water is full of gas co2 and o2 also hard water makes it less likely but as long as your plants are healthy i wouldn't worry about it
if you can save %50 of your old water and keep useing the same fillter on the tempory tank once youve done your scape you could put old water new water and fillter back in your newly scaped tank with fish job done
small cupboards are easy ive got over 10 things plugged in with 3 timers running multiple bits of kit and a 10kg co2 bottle + a 4 foot sump tank oh and a bloody great big pump not to mention the 3 1.5" water pipes. glad iv got doors although it gets a bit better every weekend. shortened all the...
