    thanks for the comment. The plant is indeed hydrocotyle tripartita or sometimes referred to as hydrocotyle sp.japan. I will keep the crypts in mind but I will see how things pan out in the upcoming weeks before I decide.

    Mine tends to stay in the lower part as well where all the plants are, probably because they like the cover of plants, giving them that security. But when i stand and observe my tank they all tend to come out and swim in front of me, maybe because they know its feeding time. :lol:

    i agree with Radik, DIY CO2 to fluctuate depending on the amount of yeast and sugar you put in. With a disposable kit, CO2 is more constant and stable and you can adjust the amount of CO2 coming out the bottle as well. It's something worth considering.
