Exactly!! Id say it may be the lean dosing from the TPN that may be helping here as well with the redness, your doing something right anyhow, no algae in sight so I wouldnt worry about it, let it grow!

Yes very nice hardscape, cant help thinking the crypts are planted a bit close to the front of the tank , could be totally wrong though, see how it grows in and then you can decide. All the wood in my tank for my entry to this years ADA competition came from the beach as well, you can find some...

Re: Swamp Creek - established 20/04/2010 You certainly went the whole hog there :D I wouldnt underestimate the weight of the tank on the dresser, its 182 kilos (28 stone) for the water only, not to mention the weight of the glass or hardscape, so its a lot of weight! Good job so far though...

Re: nelson's nano 2 Your getting there IMHO, the last one for me looks best so far but they all have good effect for what you are trying to achieve. Maybe you could try and move the centre rock in no.4 a tad to the LHS and you could try a smaller stone in front of the rock on the RHS and see...

Looking good young man :lol: Wanna get a move on with that LED unit if you ever want to put other plants in there though, I normally use 5x24 T5s on my 60x45x36cm tank and sometimes use 6x24W, highlight tank mind, the 45cm width front to back requires a good few tubes for complete coverage...

nico this is very very good, excellent, I don't know how I missed it here until now! You have made huge improvements with this aquascape in such a short time. A very strong composition. I think the moss just needs to mature that you have added to the driftwood branches to give it a more aged...

Looks great Alexandre, nice tank. Just a question/s if I may. What are you using to light the tank? is it a 150w metal halide? how long is the photoperiod and what bulb do you use?? Can you tell us what plants you are using in this layout?

I don't think I have ever seen so much Aquasoil in a UK tank either, respect! Just watch those rocks with it though if you are moving them around. You could make a few quid on Blyxa sales as well to fund this project :wink: Agree with the other guys though it needs a hardscape, a half decent...

I think its good, I had this very idea myself and one which I may try yet. I'm not sure if the back larger rock is losing the scale for you though, if it were me I might play around with that to see if I could get it a bit better. Good job so far though, I like the little extra bits you put...

Denis, dose more fertiliser if you want faster growth, with pps method things will grow slowly but thats the idea really, if you want faster growth use EI method, but faster growth can lead to faster problems thats the drawback. I agree the e.tenellus will probably make a comeback, I found the...

This looks very nice James, although I can't help but feel it needs the grass area to be broken up somehow either with the use of a suitable piece of branch wood about a third of the way down the grassed area, or I would also consider the use of 2 rocks at the very end of the grassed area, one...

Hey George hows it going, long time no post from me been busy, its all good, back in time to offer my critique :lol: It looks good George your nearly there, the foreground/ midground is excellent, I think the stems need a bit of attention though (pretty sure you know that) overall very good...

Nice bit of progress there James, slowly coming together, should be looking cracking just in time for xmas, so probably not bad timing at all :wink:

Thats a good method for filling the tank (and mine) never thought of that :wink: Nice pieces of wood James the circular piece is unusual should look very good planted with ferns anubias etc
