Hi all,
cheers Darrel
The female lays her eggs in a cave, they like one with a really small entrance. Have a look at <"Hidden Caves">.Never tried them yet, do they need some cave?
Yes a little bit, they don't dig as such but they are Geophagine (Earth-eater) cichlids, so they often feed by taking a mouthful of sand, extracting anything edible and then spitting the sand out. Will they dig in the substrate?
Apistogramma hongsloi like it reasonably warm (they are from Colombia etc), there are species that like cooler temperatures, the only ones you are likely to find are <"Apistogramma borellii"> and <"A. trifasciata">.What´s the min temp to maintain them (I don't have an heater)?
cheers Darrel
