Hi all,

Does anyone use Co2 with air powered sponge filters?
I have a group of nano (27 l) shrimp tanks I'd like to use Co2 on, however they have sponge filters...
Would the surface agitation make it pointless?

Yes.

When I accidentally added too much CO2 to my tank, pretty obvious listless fish, either gasping or just sitting at the bottom of the tank, oh and yellow drop checker , I put my air curtain on (and turned CO2 down) and within minutes all fish recovered and were going about their normal business as though nothing had happened.

You can always use liquid carbon, Excel, Easy carbo, gluteradehyde etc as that is not gassed off with air.
