Hi all,

Figured it's about time I try and get a handle on fertilising, since getting a rough handle on my CO2 injection.

Right now I'm dosing a daily drop of JBL's daily fertiliser on my 60 litre, I have no idea if that suffices the plants. Given that I plan to dose my 350 litre in due course, I figured the daily JBL might not cut it. I'm clueless though, I've heard EL or EI dosing mentioned; but no idea about it.

here's the daily one http://www.amazon.com/JBL-Ferropol-Long-Term-Fertilizer-Fertiliser/dp/B000H6SPZE

and the bigger one https://www.jbl.de/?lang=en&mod=products&func=detail&id=2342

If anyone has opinions on if these are any good, and useable in conjunction with liquid carbon; that would be helpful :)

Hi
neither product contains phosphate or nitrate.
IMO TMC complete works well if you want a straight out of the bottle rather than dry salts. I've used it, alongside Easycarbo on a 60L
Dry salts/EI are/is far more economical in the long run, especially on 350L and are really easy to use. They just seem daunting to the uninitiated

If you are using CO2 you will need to up your fertilisation regime and dosing 350l will make ready mixed ferts very very very expensive, possibly up to x10 to x20 the cost of EI fertilisers, as your are paying a very very expensive premium for the water in the bottle.

I got my starter kit from here.

Mix up the solutions and in your case for 350l tank dose 70ml per day. Done.

Even better using a dosing pump.

Though there are now reasonably priced dosing pumps on Ebay.
