I though I would show my first aquascape, it's still at his early stage (3 weeks since planted) but as I am so pleased with it I wanted share my success. I am happy that I am managing to keep 15 CRS as well as keeping my plants grow properly. I have kept the tank unplanted for one week as I wanted to make sure that I could cycle the tank through the first stage without light. I could have waited a bit longer until the tank was fully cycled but I didn't had the patience to wait that long. Initially I had no problem having both led strips on my 602 but soon I discovered some hair Algea, so I dropped the photo time and halfed my light output. I added some easy carbon daily, some Algexit and upped my Co2 level. In conjunction with the twinstar it seems to work just fine now and finally I can do 8 hours with the single LED strip. I am not sure if the second is necessary in this tank, but who knows it might be worth playing around a little in the future. I used 6L of Power sand special S and 9L of Aqua powder Amazonia. I used Seiryu stone for my hard scape as it would look good with the CRS and the greenery. At the moment I find it hard to keep a steady TDS for the shrimps as it increase by 15-20ppm every day. There is must be a few things leaching or the fert that may add to my TDS level.
I wanted to achieve a landscape between Iwugami and Biotope. I would have liked to include sand but then I was worried that I would make a mess. But all in all I am happy with the global visual aspect.
Thanks for checking my tank out and will post an update in a few weeks when everything is fully grown.
