Pump for water changes

Hi guys

My tank is about 6 meters away from my bath. I want to fill it with water and then pump it directly to the aquarium for quick waterchanges.

Does anyone know if 6 meters will work? Or is that too far away for a pump? How many L/H should I get for this?

Cheers
Gilles

I used a JBL u750 pump to pump from 40l containers on kitchen floor to tank about 10-15m away. Not fast, (better with containers on work top), but works. JBL u750 outlet is suitable for connecting to standard B&Q hose.

Now use to pump syphoned dirty water out onto front lawn.

I use an Eheim Compact 1000 to pump to and from the tank. I stick the pump in the tank at the level I want to drain to and run the pipe straight to the toilet 4m away. The flow is adjustable so it can be reduced when pumping back in.
