Well, the long hairgrass came from plantsalive. It was very fresh and green as was the glosso. My more recent order of glosso was pretty dead, but i contacted them and they are sending more free on monday. All hairgrass in the tank is going quite brown now, does anyone know whats happening?

Ok, so yesterdays picture was after i had just planted some more glosso, but surprisingly not that much. Alot of it had grown in itself. When i recieved my '25' glosso from plants alive! about half of it was dead :¬. But all is well, i contacted them and they were more than happy to send some...

Todays quick update: Before: After:

Pics uploading. One clump had some hair algae on it, but nothing much. There were a few unused clumps so they are keeping wet in a bowl. What is the other plant you sent along with the grass, really stalky roots.

Ok, its all planted! I spread around some of your gravel for nutrition purposes (i have none..) and all hairgrass is planted! Much nicer than the stuff i bought.

Update: 3 days since planting. Glosso sending out more runners, trimmed hairgrass slightly. CO2 installed and filter and heater installed. Video:

Good news! The glosso is sending out runners. CO2 is beginning to kick in. Some of the glosso though is slightly yellow :S

CO2 has finally arrived, the glosso should be happy :D

Also, the glosso you can see planted was '10' in plantsalive quantity. Ive just bought another 25.

Re: Keith's First Iwagumi Ok, TPN (Not TPN+ as i had earlier assumed i had purchased) arrived today. Im expecting the new tube to come tomorrow as well as the plants which have been confirmed for tomorrow. Now we can get onto some planting.

My only means of CO2 for my new tank and for my glosso would be a DIY fermentation CO2 system. Would a liquid based CO2 additive such as Seachem Excel be any better?

Re: Keith's First Iwagumi Update: Plants are now confirmed for wednesday. New lamp hopefully coming around monday-tuesday. Purchased a 100ml bottle of TPN+ for ferts. Went to boots today and picked up some nail scissors and tweesers for the planting. (They didnt have any long types).
