Hey guys, An update for this tank is long overdue. As you can see from the picture below my scape has evolved a little.

ebay is your friend, just make sure it's the rigid tube.

Might stand out less if you run the airline down the left hand rear corner behind the vallis

Thats almost exactly how my community tank started out, it has changed over the years now mine is mostly java fern.

This is a stunning tank and a very detailed journal, congrats and thanks for sharing.

Only development this week is I have increased photoperiod by 1 hour and keeping ferts at the same level. Just done a big clean and removed some leaves, will post a more detailed update next weekend with pictures.

Got the Up Atomiser fitted over the weekend :D I did get a small amount of fine green algae so I've dialled back on the ferts slightly till the plants get bigger. Considering adding more Eleocharis sp 'mini' to help it fill in a bit faster but beyond that I'm happy with how things are going...

Re: 259L bookcase tank - CO2 diffusion issues I had the same problem with HC, I upped the CO2 a little and it started to bounce back a bit, then I added a better pump and got a spurt of new growth, I think and correct me if I'm wrong but CO2 and circulation seem to be key with this plant.

Damn may have to change the plants then I don't fancy a fire extinguisher on my computer desk, lol
